Why support JusticeAccess?
DC has a very robust legal services community, but not every legal issue needs an attorney’s assistance. JusticeAccess provides another form of legal assistance for those situations where a nonlawyer just needs legal information, allowing legal services organizations and pro bono attorneys to focus on the situations where an attorney is truly necessary. The JusticeAccess library has no restrictions on eligibility, so residents of other states, non-citizens, and people whose incomes are above the income restrictions for legal services can also receive assistance with legal research. JusticeAccess aspires to minimize as many barriers as possible to accessing legal information.
